This troll-like, soft white guy has his white offspring to protect, but how can he offer protection to his genetic descendants when he can't even drive down an empty freeway without rear-ending what looks to have been the only other vehicle in a 50-mile radius?
And of course the victim of this white guy's stupidity is a large, competent, smiling black guy.
While the black guy knows exactly what insurance agency to call, and gets immediate results from a broadly smiling white matron, the white guy has to turn to his own elderly mother for help. Help me mommy!
It is as if the advertisers assume white society has been so degraded, so deracinated, that they won't mind seeing themselves depicted as unfit for life in the modern age while a black guy takes charge effortlessly and effectively.

Do you think their is an active agenda to make white males look soft, weak and incompetent/crazy? When young kids see these bogus ads thousands of times it has an impact and hurts young white boys. Why are they doing that? What is the goal? I though commercials were just supposed to sell a product or service...not to hurt white kids and promote blacks.
No unfortunately they are designed to hurt white kids and promote blacks. That's exactly their purpose. Use the Internet instead. Also take advantage of your second amendment buy a gun and put three rounds in your TV. You'll feel better.

I have been in the acting business long enough to see just how specific casting calls can be for parts in TV commercials, shows and films -- so the problem is far worse and insidious than you imagined! White guys are the only acceptable group to demonize at this point.

ReplyDeleteLook, ad agencies and media are fond of 2 groups: 1) white women/girls 2)black men/boys.
Black women (at least dark skinned, non-biracial looking ones) are either NOT on tv much or are potrayed as loud, neck wiggling, or background scenery.
On TV white women are great moms doing everything while some white guy in the background (dad?) smiles and floats thru scene. If I see another warm fuzzy, black father/gradn father pouring his kid a bowl of cereal- I'll barf. Only because it ignores the truth of black families.
One of worst commercials ever was part of a Joiningforces.gov campaign and featured the voice of Tom Hanks. In the commericial a black boy feeds his brother breakfast "every morning", washes the car and plays SOCCER on a basketball court (can't stereotype)) while his black father - a soldier- checks in on him via computer from Afganistan! Inexplicably, no mother is shown and Tom Hanks urges us to help the families of troops- like this boy- "hold down the fort" Another commericial had a black boy taking care of the home while his "annoying sister" (some menacing black girl on the screen for 1.5 seconds throwing attitude at the boy for ,apparently, no reason) does basically nothing- LIKE MOM. His dad too is a soldier and the boy has been left to be the man of house and suffer with black beyatches. "So please Americans, help!"
The same group (which is liberal leaning) has commercials where white wives and mother feed, hold and take care of their families while their brave white hubbies are away fighting. The difference between the black and white commericials is bizarre.
My point? Your theory claim about WHITES being singled out and attacked is weak. Sure white men are mocked. But white WOMEN are golden! They are the center of American TV shows and commericials and are SUPER women 95% of the time. Black women are either barely there, fairly light skinned/racially ambigious, or dark and mocked. Black males are stereotype busters or sexy beef cake in commercials.

ReplyDeleteBoost Mobile commercial featuring the voice of Charlie Murphy (Eddie's brother). Boost Mobile has a history of really smart, funny, risque commercial and Charlie Murphy is very talented. But this was an example of a bunch of white and black men sitting in a room thinking up what they wanted to see.
This commercial was VERY successful and popular and it took a long time for the people who found the commercial offensive (it was) to get people to really look.
Commercial: a white girl- named Brandy-(thin and nicely dressed)enters a club and goes for he VIP room (which has black bouncer and hip hop/house music). But classy Brandy is stopped by a trashy dressed, NAMELESS black girl only called "the girl with the bionic butt cheeks". Nameless, nearly faceless, black girl only turns and shakes her butt. and tosses attitude. Classy, white Brandy, being SMART also- uses her Boost phone to get the DJ to play super fast music. This causes the mindlesss black girls big butt to shake SOOO much that it over heats and explodes.
The End? Nameless, big butt black girl is lying face down on the ground in front of the VIP room ropes. Smart, classy, white Brandy steps over the black girl into the VIP room welcomed by the black man there.
